Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park
Phong Nha - Ke Bang was recognized as a World Heritage site in 2003. Locating in Quang Binh province, this 200,000 ha park displays an impressive amount of evidence of earth's history. The karst formation of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park has evolved since the Paleozoic (some 400 million years ago) ans so is the oldest major karst area in Asia. Subject to massive tectonic change,the park's karst landscape is extremely complex with many geomorphic features of considerable significance.
